Are you somebody who is on the fence about beginning the process of making a living from writing? Are you interested in learning why some people choose not to write for a living, even if they actually need to? You will pick up insight on why some choose not to write for money and you will learn how to overcome your reluctance to write to earn an extra income.
Uncertainty can be a factor. Some people are very hesitant to enter a territory they do not possess any knowledge about. To go far in life, you have to be open to trying almost anything, and you cannot be afraid to fail.
There are those who are reluctant to try their hand at something new. A few years ago, I conducted searches online pertaining to how to receive more Internet traffic. While conducting this search, I came across a few articles that encourage you to write articles online so that you can leave a trail of inbound links to your site and increase your site's search engine ranking. I was reluctant to heed this advice at first because I thought this endeavor should only be carried out by proven entrepreneurs. I eventually decided to throw my hat into this ring. Soon after I got started writing for traffic, I started writing for money.
Some possess a gigantic ego and are not convinced about the pay potential of being a writer. I know someone who believes it is not worth his time to write articles because you have to make over a thousand dollars a month doing it in order to earn the equivalent of the minimum wage. I think it is strange he feels this way because he loves to write and could use extra money. If you are out of work or have a hard time paying your bills, swallow your pride and relish the opportunity to make dozens or hundreds of extra dollars a month writing articles.
There are those who believe they do not have enough time to write for a living. It is true that it takes time to write material, but you can deal with this dilemma by becoming a proficient typist and setting your own pace. As time goes along, you can determine how many articles you should write on a daily or weekly basis. Only submit articles to the submission sites you find truly worthy.
Some might be reluctant to take up writing for money because they know they need to publish a lot of articles but fear they will encounter writer's block or not find enough ideas. There are submission sites that provide ideas for writers as well as various article titles. In fact, Helium has thousands of titles you can write to.
There are probably some who have tried writing while only receiving a little bit of money. You have to write constantly and cover the employment and business aspects of life in your articles to get paid well over time. Hang in there.
You have learned why some choose not to write for a living and how you can overcome your reluctance to do it.
