<Lord, Teach Us To Pray>
Lord We know not what to say
As we know not how to pray
Lord, I ask you hold our hand
As we try to understand
The things to say and do
When we talk with you.
Lord, I know that can hear
And that you see our every tear
Lord no matter how we try
The words are replaced by a sigh
Because we cannot seem to find
The right words in our mind
Lord, you know we struggle
Each day do we find trouble
Yet you love us through it all
You will never let us fall.
Father you see beyond our shell
You know us, Lord, oh so well
You now we all sin
But we long to be your children
We need the words so with you we can talk
That we may get closer to you daily in our walk
But this right now we cannot do
As our words are hesitate and few
Father I need you to help us confess
So our feelings we can express
But, as always, you seem so far away
Lord, I beg you to teach us to pray
You are the one true friend
And your love will never end
We just want to give you, God
Our whole selves, however odd
We want to learn to talk to you, Lord
When we are happy, sad or bored
So please, Daddy, show us the way
By teaching us constantly how to pray
Papa I humbly come to you
We will do whatever you want us to do
Just stand by us and show us the way
So that we can learn how to pray

We've come into your Presence
Just to sit at Your feet
Singing loud praises
With Your heartbeat
Teach us to pray O,
Lord help those who do not know,
To be still and give you a go
Those who do not see
To forever believe
Help those who don’t
