The master of illusion and confusion has arrived
and soon he will explore the many facets of your mind.
A shaker and a shaman who finds everything contrived,
while stripping you of sanity then leaving hope behind.
Appearing from the ether of your foggy, clouded dreams;
believer and deceiver in the ancient history.
A planner with a purpose who will implement his schemes,
overwhelming sorrow's soul with complete complicity.
Seen always in the clearing of your rationality
as an awesome specter standing on reality's throne.
You are sickened by the sight of his bestiality
while you wander in the wild as you're walking all alone.
This contagion of collusion that has now begun to hate,
stands before the mighty altar with malevolent face.
He's your final destination of incredible fate,
denoting no delusion of compassion or of grace.
You awaken from your dream in the deadened still of night
and you're gazing 'round the room of the womb you call your home.
You are suddenly aware that this dream is still in sight;
a bit beyond your body but it's still within your bone.

Poetry: Illusions

Illusions
Are we but a number,
another digit in the dust.
Surround ourselves with clutter,
having possession is a must.
Striving
The shortest way is not always the best
The most laborious might be far from zest
What seems fair often brings
I feel myself fading away
Slipping farther into the unknown
Soon there will be nothing left
And I will be forever alone
When

What Big Eyes
Once upon a midnight bleary
While I stumbled drunk but cheery
I listened left and listened right
My eyes were
You ask me to notice the bloom of roses in spring.
To feel the rain and soft breeze on my cheeks.
Enjoy the sweet smell
