Spongebob Squarepants has been around for a long time and is a cartoon classic. While there is humor for children there is also adult humor as well. The characters of the show are what make this show what it is. Here is a list and description of them:
Spongebob Squarepants: Spongebob is a happy go lucky character. He of course is a sponge with square pants. He loves his job at the Krusty Krab where he is a fry cook. He is always trying to be his best and has won employee of the month every time. He best friend is Patrick Star whom he likes to jelly fish with. He loves to do karate with his friend Sandy. His favorite television show is Mermaid Man and Barnacle boy. His home is shaped like a pineapple and he has a pet snail named Gary.
Patrick Star: Patrick is the best friend of Spongebob. He is in fact a starfish. He is not the brightest bulb in the pack but that is what makes him funny. He loves jelly fishing with Spongebob. He lives under a rock which at times has a ton of decor and other times just a TV, lamp and chair.
Squidward Tentacles: Squidward is Spongebob's neighbor. He is a Squid and he works at the Krusty Krab as the cashier. He is extremely dull and gloom. His hobbies include playing the clarinet and painting. He loves the fine things in life but they always seem to get destroyed by his neighbors Spongebob and Patrick. His house is in the shape of a atone tiki.
Sandy Cheeks: Sandy is a squirrel and she lives undersea in a air sphere. She walks around with the sea critters of Bikini Bottom but she comes from Texas. She was sent to Bikini Bottom to do scientific experiments and projects. She wears and astronaut suit with a bow on the helmet so that she can communicate with her friends of Bikini Bottom. Sandy loves to do karate with Spngebob and she is also very strong and independent.
Mr. Krabs: Mr. K is the owner of the Krusty Krab. Obviously, by the name, he's a crab. He has a daughter named Pearl, who is a whale strangely enough. He has an infactuation with money. If he could marry money, he would, to sum up how much he loves money. His arch nemesis is Plankton of the Chum Bucket. He is a successful business owner and runs a very tight shift. He also has a house shaped like and anchor. He loves to sail out on the big blue sea.
Sheldon Plankton: The arch nemesis of Mr. Krabs. He is Plankton and is tiny, green, and has one eye. He is also inexplicably evil. He tries to get the Krabby Patty formula from the Krusty Krab but no matter how hard he tries he always fails. In a way people feel sympathetic because he can't catch a break, but he's evil and if he did get the formula, the show would lose that sketch. His wife is a computer named Karen and his favorite meal is holographic meatloaf.
