How to spice up your marriage

Whether you have been married four years or forty your marriage can always use some added excitement and romance. Even if you think you have the perfect marriage you can still put that extra spark in your lives. Liven things up with any of these spicy ideas.

1) Go on a date. Not the boring dinner and a movie but something different, something you haven't done in ages. How about miniature golf or bowling? Have some fun. You can never have enough laughter and smiles in your life. Pack a dinner and drive to a favorite spot to watch the sunset. Go to a comedy club. Set up a hot air balloon ride. Replay your first date as close as you can to every detail. The possibilities are endless and it's all about doing something special and exploring things together. Take pictures to remember the enjoyable time you had.

2) Drive through the neighborhood where you first met and dated. If you don't live in that area anymore drag out the old photos from that time. Reminisce about your first date, your first kiss, where you went on dates, the friends you hung out with and when you became engaged.

3) Text your mate a loving message in the middle of the day or when they least expect it. You can even do this when you are together. It's a great way to get the romance started.

4) Compliment, compliment, compliment. Whether male or female we all like to feel appreciated. Comment on something you love about their personality. Tell them how you love how they look when they wear that new outfit. Mention what a great job was done on cutting the lawn or cleaning. Notice the little things. All our egos need some stroking sometime.

5) Dress up when you are at home. Forget about the old and torn sweats that you normally wear. For you women out there, buy some new lingerie and wear something revealing. It will make you feel sexy and trust me your husband will notice. Don't forget the makeup too. Men can take it up a notch by wearing something they know their wife finds them attractive in, be it their favorite shirt or shorts, you know what she likes.

6) Put on perfume or aftershave and kiss your partner with some passion. We too often settle for a little peck on the lips.

7) Take some sexy pictures. Visuals are a great way to get romantic notions flowing.

8) Flirt. Remember what that is?

9) Surprise your loved one with a spa and massage night. Light your bedroom with scented candles and have bouquets of fresh flowers on your nightstands. Massage each other with oils to sensually relieve exhausted and fatigued muscles.

10) Seduce your spouse at a completely different time and place as usual. Surprise makes for an unexpected pleasurable experience.

These are just a few things to spice up your marriage. You know what will work for your relationship. Try a couple with your own spin on it and it will put back the sparkle in your life. Your love for each other needs to be demonstrated on a daily basis. After all, when a couple has been as one for a long time it grows into a miracle.
