Is the Bible Trustworthy?
(Psalm 19:8) . . .The orders from Jehovah are upright, causing the heart to rejoice; The commandment of Jehovah is clean, making the eyes shine.
The Bible is absolutely trustworthy. As you read this it will be helpful to have your copy of the Bible available so that you are able to examine the scriptures for yourself. Presented here are only 3 simple avenues of investigation which can be used to prove the Bible's trustworthiness:
1 Internal harmony
2. Fulfilled Prophecy
3. Secular Confirmation
Let's briefly examine each of these. We will find that the Bible is trustworthy and beneficial. (2 Timothy 3:16; Isaiah 48:17-18), It is also helpful to recognize that the languages of the Bible are Hebrew, Aramaic and Koine Greek. It is important therefore to have an accurate translation of the Bible.
Internal Harmony
The Bible is a collection of 66 books, written by 40 men over a period of 1,600 years beginning in 1513 B.C.E. and ending in 98 C.E. The men who wrote the Bible were from many different walks of life and most had no knowledge of or contact with the other writers. The author of the Bible is God. The books of the Bible were written under inspiration of God's holy spirit or active force. 2 Timothy 3:16 states; 16 All Scripture is inspired of God and beneficial for teaching, for reproving, for setting things straight, for disciplining in righteousness, It is as if God dictated a letter and the men who wrote the Bible were his secretaries.

There is no sugar-coating in the Bible. Among those who made huge errors are Moses and the Israelites. Part of their history of serious errors and the consequences are recorded at Numbers 20:1-13. Moses was the man God chose to write these accounts. Jonah also wrote the book bearing his name and admits to being so terrified by his God-given assignment that not only did he run away but he also became angry when God showed mercy to an extremely violent people.
There are countless illustrations. Elijah, David, Peter and even many of the apostles showed their human errors. (Matthew 18:1-6; 20:20-28)The apostle Paul is an example of one who recorded his own failings and difficulties: (Romans 7:21-25). . . I find, then,
