Is the Bible the word of God

When we hear the word Bible, most automatically assume you're speaking about the Holy Bible. A holy book written through men and the Holy Spirit, dictated by God, and said to have a twofold part of "knowledge," in that the first part contains parts from the Jewish Torah, while the latter was written and put together over a few hundred year period from other texts. Now, if you mean did God physically write the Bible I'd say no for several reasons, the main one being that if this were all the word of God then every bit of it would have been kept together and NEVER changed or altered. Simply because you couldn't, and why, cause you're not God. Eventhough some would like to say they are by thinking they have will over what happens in this world.

In John 1:1 it reads that, 'In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God.' No disputing that, but hey, if that's the truth, and you believe in the Holy Bible, that means that our words are God. No specific words by the way. Just words in general. That would mean ALL of them. This would also mean that if God created this Bible, God created, through the Holy Spirit, other works or religious reading. Trust me Christians, you don't have a monopoly on God, and God doesn't love you any more or less than God loves anyone else regardless of religious preference. That's why Jesus spoke of loving your neighbor and enemy. The modern Bible was placed together by a group of men who kept out certain texts, which became Gnostic gospels, in the 1300s.

Most don't look into other religious texts, but around the time of the Exodus another religious text was written called the Rigveda, an anciet Hindu text. According to some scolars Verse 1.164.46, part of a hymn to the Vishvadevas is often quoted as an example of emerging monism or monotheism, or the belief in one God. So are they wrong? No... none of them are wrong. The word of God is the word of God no matter what, and why. Because that's the way God wants it to be. It's like being a kid in a toy store, and you've got all these wonderful toys to play with. Some are gonna choose the stick horse. Some are gonna choose the erector set. Neither one of these is better than the other... cause it all comes from the same toy store.
