Browser based video games are becoming increasingly popular. New ones are being developed all the time with better graphics, stories and engaging game play. This article showcases some of the new games that will soon be released.
Heroes Of Gaia
Players can choose four classes, human, elf, orc or undead. Castles can be developed, heroes trained, armies built and alliances forged with other players. This strategy game look be to quite good with great visuals. The game is currently in a beta phase and should be released to the public soon.
Heroes of Might and Magic Kingdoms
This game is a browser version of the popular heroes of Might and magic game series and is being developed by Ubisoft. The game is in beta but should be released soon. You can build massive armies, develop your region, fight NPCs, collect and trade resources, form alliances and use heroes as you fight in this mythical world. Heroes of Might and Magic Kingdoms is another browser based game worth keeping on your radar.
Eternal Earth
This game takes place on an alternate version of earth where animals rule and man is a thing of the past. This game combines real world history with myth and magic for a completely new gaming experience. This completely 3D world gives the player many regions and places to explore, take quests, fight creatures and join with friends in clans. There are many different player races mostly modeled after real world animals and there will be classes for each player to try. The game is in a closed beta phase with an open beta soon to be ready for the general public. Eternal Earth may just be the next game that can take on Runescape for domination of the browser based market.
Sanctioned Renegades
This game is a first person shooter that is playable in your web browser and done in 3D. Shooters are fairly new to the browser game market and Sanctioned Renegades is one of the new ones. It features a lush and fully destructible tropical world. A Role playing style unlock system for weapons and achievements. Is featured in the game. Players can join the game now and play in its current stage of development.
Dragon's Call
Originally known as "code D" this game is one of the most highly anticipated browser based video games. Not much is known about this game yet but it is gathering a lot of interest and being developed by Everdream Studios. The game will be fantasy based with humans, orcs, dragons, elves, giants and other typical fantasy lore.
Conclusion
Browser games are changing the way people play games on their PC. They require little in the way of software to run and are free for the most part with just small fees for advanced content. New games are being developed that someday may replace the need for large game clients and massive downloads.
