Driving down the fifty-nine
going to New Orleans
to see a dixie queen
who has a hold on me.

My baby took the kids
on a vacation bid.
To see her mother out in
Nashville, Tennessee.

That dixie queen went and rode me
boy wish my baby could be like that.

Now cheating ain't much my thing
but my baby made a fool of me.
When I walked in and found
our lawyer laid out on the bed.

I vowed that one day, only once,
that I would giver her due.
Well I found that
with a dixie queen out in New Orleans.

Well I sent a pic in a text
She was furious.
Little did I know she was

Driving down the fifty-nine
going to New Orleans

She arrived no kids in tail,
couldn't help but yell,
Baby I knew you'd come.
All she did was glare.

Honey Darling I rambled
I told you that you'd get your due.
She stepped up back in that truck
rev and roared that engine loud.

Her truck never touched me,
but blew right on past and I knew.

She'd be Shifting up the fifty-nine
Leaving good ole New Orleans
to see a running dixie queen
who had a hold on me.

When you cheat on a lover
Sometimes you get your due.
Others can understand
remember the kids are near at hand.

Now life is good. Me and her,
are done cheatin,' on each other.
Truck is detailed, dents are gone
no more bills, from the lawyer.

Looking back
all I can say
I love my baby girl.
