(Introduction)
Another long drag of this, cigarette
with another swig out of this ole sac.
Jaded and faded looking back.
On all that we had.
(Chorus)
When she says.
Listen boy I know its hard
but stop looking back on his past.
We both know it ain't the last,
another one is on her way.
Now this ain't living, boy its suicide.
(Verse I)
Now I looked back again
remembering the day we met
how we dreamed
Of the kids we'd bring.
Later years came while sitting on my truck.
Biggest diamond I could find
for this little price of mine.
Yeah I knew she was a mother to be.
Now we moved down to Texas
Joining a crew of rough necks.
The lady didn't like it so much
but the black gold tempted me.
(Chorus)
When she said
Listen boy I know its hard
but you cant keep working there
We both know few rarely last,
more work is coming up so buck it up.
Now this ain't living, boy its suicide.
(Verse II)
The baby finally came
I was working with the Houston P.D.
Family life felt good
never been more content.
Little boy started kindergarten the other day.
Boy he was excited.
With the recent break ins in the area
Extra measures would be fine.
A short there after my lil boy found the gun.
Found it was no toy the hard way.
My wife and I heard the shot
Instantly we knew.
(Ending)
Now I sit here drinking in uncle jack
and sucking down sweet Marlboro Reds.
Jaded and faded still looking back
on all that we had.
When she says.
Listen boy I know its hard
but stop looking back on his past.
We both know it ain't the last,
another one is on her way.
Now this ain't living, boy its suicide.
Maybe I should get up,
take another look,
paint that wall pink.
Possibly I will take
another drink.

True Identities
{chorus}
E veryone around me seems to be laughing at my face
I wish I could leave this God forsaken place
I have
Hopelessness
arrogance
whoever said suicide was a selfish disguise
Has obviously never looked me in the eyes
Lifelessness
ignorance
