Light sheds through darkness,
Scattered leaves,
Float endlessly.
Sorrow turns to laughter,
Ears that know no lies,
The children's innocent eyes.
Erase the pasts wrongs,
Gray days,
Fade away.
Today paints a portrait,
I'll hang it in my mind,
an original one of a kind.
The tables have turned,
If it fits,
Wear it.
Rain falls no more,
Blue skies ahead,
The storms finally dead.
People flood the streets,
Couples romancing,
Every ones dancing.
Our minds become free,
A fresh start,
Unwounded hearts.
A chance to do it again,
We'll rewrite the page,
That was yesterday.

Though the clouds promise rain
and they're filled to the brim,
They are sure to spill over
