Facing Death.

There's been
a time or two;
when I
coulda died;
something inside;
told me to go on -
Lke the break of dawn;
I always seem to survive.
Yeah, the Sun will
always rise,
behind cloudy skies;
Yeah, the Sun will
always rise.

Once a man, mistreated
and manhandled me;
When he was done
God, I was free;
God, I was free...
But he damaged me;
secretly, inside of me,

I let him damage me.

Now, soemtimes,
I find myself afraid;
of the love he gave
and the evil he
inflicted;
on me -
Oh, - what he
did to me...
Yeah, how dark;
how dark a man;
a man can be.
He damaged me.

Hands around
my tiny neck -
I won't ever
forget..
I won't forget
God's mercy ;
His mercy -
God's mercy
his mercy -
upon me.

He let me breathe;
breathed life into me...
just when I was facing death.

A couple
of weeks ago,
My neighbor;
she tried to
strangle me;
She got such
satisfaction;
out of my
vulnerablity,
my passive
raaction.
God showed his
mercy on me -
conveyed his
compassion.
He showed his mercy,
his mercy on me.
His mercy on me....
Somehow,
I broke free;
from the hold
the devil had on me...
I broke free,
Yeah, I broke free..
Yeah, you know,
I'm free!

Hands around
my tiny neck -
Choakin' me;
Nobody's ever
broken me -
I won't ever
forget...
I won't forget
God's mercy ;
His mercy -
God's mercy
his mercy -
His mercry
the mercy
he bestowed
he bestowed;
upon me.

I always try
to do my best;
always wish
better for those
who have less
than me -
Uh, Yeah,
those who have
less than me.
And now,
I will confess,
I will not rest,
until' I have
impressed,
our God,
our Lord,
and express ~
my thankfulness,
for his mercy,
for his mercy,
for his mercy,
upon me. -

He let me breathe;
breathed life into me...
just when I was facing death.
