Fighting against the world / on my own
Verse 1
One girl looking out the window because she's sad
deep down she's all alone because she really miss her dad
she tries to tell everyone around her how she feels
she was a smart A student but now poppin pills
looking for hope there is no one there to comfort her
going back home being abused by her mother
stuck in a world where no one understands
she is use to being order around and giving demands
she goes in her room and cries herself to sleep
she tries to talk but she can't even hear herself speak
It's her against the world that she's fighting everyday
looking up and wondering why her sky is always gray
Trying to find a way out but she's trapped in
trying to fight against this world and fighting from within
Chorus
It's you fighting against your world that don't understand unique young girls
deep down you gotta be strong you gotta fight for a right and fight against
the wrongs
Verse 2
One girl ran away cause her father raped her, her mother is dead no one out there
to save her, she's all alone and she's feeling scared knowing deep inside that no one really cares
Now she's out on the streets begging for money she had a beautiful voice and was going to be something
To handle her pain she's out there smoking crack, wishing that somebody out there had her back
To earn money she's out there sleeping around, wishing that she could get over the ups and downs
Waking up wanting to die
Waking up wanting to cry
Happiness is far away that she can't even reach
mad at the world because she's always feeling weak
A better tomorrow because things are getting harder
cast in the joy and get rid of all the sorrows
Chorus
It's you fighting against your world that don't understand unique young girls
deep down you gotta be strong you gotta fight for a right and fight against
the wrongs
Verse 3
A single mother out there with three kids
all alone raising kids with benefit
struggling from job to job just to pay the rent
she feel like giving no one coming to her defense
she goes back home to her mobile home
thinking to herself how did everything go so wrong
So young trying to make it and getting judged by others
got pregnant at fifteen and abandoned by her mother
waking up wanting to hide from the world that she comes from
getting tired of motherhood
too bad it just begun
she tries to toughen up and keep a smile on her face
deep down she wants to run and forget about her place
she wants her kids to be happy and to be strong
doesnt want anyone to hurt them or do them wrong
just hold your head up and sing a new song
this world is challenging but I made it on my own
Chorus
It's you fighting against your world that don't understand unique young girls
deep down you gotta be strong you gotta fight for a right and fight against
the wrongs
