Cayenne is also believed to help lower blood pressure as well as help lower cholesterol and getting rid of triglycerides (fatty material in the blood).

Antioxidant support is given by cayenne. Cayenne contains vitamins A, C, and the B complex vitamins. It also has calcium and potassium. These vitamins are antioxidants known for their cell rejuvenating properties.

Capsaicin is used as a pain reliever. That is why cayenne is used for just that purpose. Whether taken orally or used in a topical way, cayenne reacts with nerve endings and relieves pain.
