Designer shoes and those with a price tag marked higher than the cost of my entire wardrobe are not worth paying the excessive amount of money. That does not mean that these shoes are not well-designed or not well-crafted, it just means that hundreds and thousands of dollars should not be spent on something we wear with a few outfits or a few times a month.

This does not mean that we should be cheap when choosing what to put on our feet. It is important to buy quality shoes that offer comfort and support for our precious feet. After all, our feet bear each step that we take and carry our body throughout the day so they deserve some attention!

Comfortable, well-crafted, and well-designed shoes can be found in name brands and designer labels at discounted prices. Great shoes can be found at bargain prices without having to fight your wallet for the extra cash. Designer shoes can be found brand new at discounted prices on eBay, in shoe stores on-line, and even in the very department stores and boutiques where they start off at full price. Many of these shoes will go on sale and even on clearance during the same season they came out. If you want to look high fashion without paying the price, this would definitely make the designer and expensive shoes more worth it.

Designer and expensive shoes do have one feature that can't be argued: they look expensive. If one is looking to weigh the balance of cost and worth when it comes to "looking" expensive, one may be willing to hand over a chunk of cash to look just a little bit more high fashion. If this is the case, maybe one should ask themselves, "Am I buying these shoes for me, or for everyone else?" A shoe should be purchased because you love it, it makes you feel good, even AFTER you get back from the department store, and after you have worn the shoe many times, you still feel great about yourself and the shoes you purchased.

So is it worth it to pay extra dollars to wear something that may not be very comfortable and is many times worn just to show off status to others? I say, pamper your feet, not everyone else's eyes. You will be able to show your status and confidence through how you act and how proud you are to be yourself, rather than by the type of shoe you are wearing.
