Reflections: Memories of my grandmother
I remember growing up, as child and my grandmother living across the street from us. Why my mother would go to work my grandmother would watch me and my sister and brother. I would love to stay at her house, because she would make great food and great sweets for us. She would take us to where we wanted to go in the car. It was fun going shopping with my grandma, she want by us toys when we went into the department stores. I remember time she took me and my sister to the park and we got to ride. Me and my sister spent most of our childhood with our grandma on the weekends.
It was so fun, because my grandma made it fun. She would make homemade bread and give us some dough to made our own bread. She taught us how to cook. She had went to school for cooking and got degree in cooking. She worked at the hospital for a long time. She retried from the hospital and started doing something else. She always enjoys sewing, because she use to make our school outfits. So, she gets a sewing job, for awhile to they close the store. I remember that my grandma always was a woman who love the Lord, because her children were brought up in the Church and her grand
children were brought up in the Church. She was very active in her Church, that made me so proud of my grandma. She was a very well likable lady. All my friends love to come to her house, she would welcome you with open arms. People at her Church said, that she would help anyone who needed help. I loved all the stories that she had told me and my sister and brother, about her growing up. There were things that she had showed me how to do,as a young child and, as young woman. She was a type of lady that didn't let anything stop her from getting what she want. In the pass couple of years she had been sick with her throat, so they operated on her throat, so she could eat. But, she didn't let her throat , stop her from living. After a couple years my grandma got bad, and to live in a nursing home. It was hard for me to see my grandma in a nursing home. She was woman who was always on the go and very active. And now here she is at ninety years gone.
