Music's influence on behavior

so rap music makes children carry guns and do drugs?
emo music makes us kids slit our wrists?
i dont think so, music is an escape to a place where we can relate to what artists are talking about. Drugs, violence, adultery etc... can be found on every british soap shown on the t.v. today but surely something so mainstream and deeply british cannot be to blame? it is the influence on people around us that lead us to think it is ok to live like a slob, get drunk every night and swear whenever we like.
swearing in music is simply a connection used by artists such as 'Plan B' to get in-touch with the audience he needs, then he can deliver a message such as "who needs actions when you got words" what he lacks in grammar he makes up in a moral point of view stating it is better to use words and release your stress on the page instead of picking up a gun. music will forever be a scapegoat aslong as the people in authority are lazy and have no motivation, it needs to change.
