Poetry: Devils

by Denise Paduano

Created on: August 25, 2009

Standing outside the door to hell
dazed and confused like your under a spell

Reluctantly you walk through the door and look around
Dozens of hideous creatures are pawing the ground

Before you a blazing fire which is orange and red
Eyes widen in terror as you spot the devils horned head

His voice booms with evil as he calls you in
He wants to ravage your soul and fill you with sin

As your willed toward the fire the creatures all roar and yell
You feel yourself falling as your dragged deep into hell

The devils icy fingers tug at your soul
"Your mine now" he hisses through lips black as coal

You feel yourself slipping, your mind going blank
The devil has won, into hell you have sank.
