Joomlatemplatestyle.com is a site that offers free Joomla templates, conversion of Joomla templates, and custom template designs. On the homepage users can glance at the latest tweets, latest news posts, or click on the various categories at the top of the screen: custom templates, blog, contact, or demo. For the free templates, users must click on the right hand side of the screen, where a menu of templates and tutorials are shown. There are so many categories in this menu, and yet the site doesn't really need them all. For instance, clicking on the "Business Joomla template" takes users to exactly one template, which just sort of seems like a waste. Another example is in clicking on just "Joomla templates", which links users to a 404 error page.
Joomlatemplatestyle.com also offers what they call custom Joomla template creation. This service comes in three types: design conversion, template customization, and Joomla conversion. Design conversion consists of taking a flash-based design, a JPG, or some other image/design and creating a template around it. Template customization allows users to submit Joomla templates to Joomlatemplatestyle.com, who will then customize the logo, header, text, etc and keep the original template for design purposes. Finally, the Joomla conversion service gives users the chance to make a Joomla 1.0.x template completely compatible with Joomla 1.5. These services do not have a price, but users can request a quote which promises a response within one working day.
The free templates on Joomlatemplatestyle.com can be a bit hard to find. Clicking on Joomla free templates simply takes users to a single template. The best way to find templates is to click on the many categories on the right hand side (which are specific to their one template they carry). Alternatively, users can click the Joomla 1.0 or Joomla 1.5 template categories and be taken to the actual download page. While these links provide downloads for the free templates, the only way a user can even see the thumbnails of templates is through the specific categories on the right hand side.
Even then, the templates themselves are scarce and some of the templates are definitely not the best looking. While the quality of these templates overall is nice, it would have been good to include some kind of option to increase the thumbnail image. For users interested, a demo site is available, and once on this site, users can peruse the various templates and how they would look. The site also has a blog, which is updated regularly, as well as tutorials (which contain sufficient information). Overall, I would recommend Joomlatemplatestyle.com. Despite the hard to navigate or confusing array of categories and links, the site does offer a lot through various templates and tutorials, as long as users know their way around.
