How to get traffic for your Bukisa articles

I've been writing for Bukisa for a few months, and I've made a small amount of money there. See, unlike Helium Bukisa doesn't offer any upfront payments, marketplace opportunities, or writing contests as ways to make additional money on the site; instead, all of the money that the site pays you is based on advertisement revenue. Therefore, you need to generate traffic for your Bukisa article, because the number of people that look at them is directly proportional to the amount of money you will make. Here are a few tips:

Take advantage of the thumbnail option that Bukisa offers. If you have a picture associated with your articles, then people are more likely to click on them. Why? Because people like seeing pictures instead of the generic here's my article logo. Seeing someone's face, a set of weights, or an explosion next to someone's article makes me much more likely to read the article in question. I guarantee that more people will look at your articles if they have pictures next to them. After all, haven't we identified with pictures in books since we were little children?

Promote your articles by sending emails to your friends and posting on forums at sites associated with writing, or the topics you like to write about. Tell your friends that you'd appreciate it if they looked at your writing; sure, say that you want their opinions about it, or that someone else you know thought it could use some work. On the forums, you can say the same thing, that you want someone's opinion of your written work; additionally, offer your expertise on an issue and tell your readers to look at your article for more information. Just include a link to your article and Read on here:

I've found that using a Twitter account has gotten me several referrals. Sure, you need to have people following you on Twitter first, but they'll probably be more inclined to follow you if you have some quality work to show them. I have some followers on Twitter, and some of them comment on my material, so I know that Twitter is providing them with updates as I'm writing. Additionally, the forums on Helium allow people to submit their Twitter user names so that other members of the site can continue to follow their writing specifically.

Posting your material to Facebook, where I'm sure you have hundreds of friends, is incredibly useful as well. I get more feedback from my friends who read my material on Facebook than any other outlet. It's easy to just post your link on Facebook with a thumbnail image for all of your friends to see; because of the mini-feed on the site, everyone can easily see what you've posted in seconds! Just this morning I responded to a comment someone left on my a link I posted through Facebook; it's the fastest way to make people read your articles.
