When it comes to making a living writing it can be a slow process. There will be days when you think that you're doing great and other days when you think that your income isn't enough. There are ways that you can increase your writing income. You have to have patience when you are attempting to earn more from your writing.

Write as often as you can. The more you write the more your skill will increase. As you see your skills increasing your confidence will increase. When your confidence is increased you'll be able to expand the avenues that you use for your writing. You also have to organize yourself so that you are the most productive when you write.

Don't limit yourself. When you are a writer you can't limit yourself if you want to increase your income. There will of course be areas that you are more comfortable writing about but you have to go beyond these if you are going to expand the income you earn from writing. Increasing your research skills and writing in areas that require you a little more time will help to increase your portfolio.

With an expanded portfolio you will be able to show your skills and diversity in writing. The more diverse your writing the more opportunities you have for earning. The variety of skills that you show will open your world up to numerous job possibilities.

When you seek out places to sell your work you have to explore all of your options. Whether you're writing for print publications, online publications or ghost writing for others you have to have more than one source of income to increase it. When you limit yourself to one source of writing income you limit your earning potentials. You have to be willing to open yourself up to the possibility of not having your name attached to your work.

Ghostwriting will improve your skills and give you an increasing number of job opportunities. You have to be willing to consider signing non-disclosure agreements and giving up the rights to your work. This means that you might have to settle for a one time payment on work but if you're careful you can gain study clients to write for. This means that you will have, even if temporarily, a study stream of income that you can expand on.

You have to promote yourself. The possibility of having a study writing income and increasing that income goes hand in hand with promotion. You have to get your name out there, even if it's just a small step at the time. In time you will notice that your income from writing has increased.
