Imagine

I imagine

a big blue ocean.

Full of hundreds-

no, thousands

of graceful fish.

The water is cold,

but since it's hot outside,

it is comfortable.

I imagine

a low, flat prairie.

Every now and then,

if you watch,

you see a prairie dog

popping out of a hole

in the ground,

making sure nothing

is going to harm them.

I imagine

an extravagant mansion.

Everyone that lives in it

is always unhappy.

Even though they have

all of the money

someone could ever want.

I imagine

me with you.

Always together,

always happy.

Nothing can separate us.

Not ever.

Never.

But that's only imagining.
