Imagine
I imagine
a big blue ocean.
Full of hundreds-
no, thousands
of graceful fish.
The water is cold,
but since it's hot outside,
it is comfortable.
I imagine
a low, flat prairie.
Every now and then,
if you watch,
you see a prairie dog
popping out of a hole
in the ground,
making sure nothing
is going to harm them.
I imagine
an extravagant mansion.
Everyone that lives in it
is always unhappy.
Even though they have
all of the money
someone could ever want.
I imagine
me with you.
Always together,
always happy.
Nothing can separate us.
Not ever.
Never.
But that's only imagining.

you took right on cue.
Imagine
Imagine being happy for thirteen years of your life.
Suddenly, it's replaced by pain inside.
Imagine being held against
