Haunted Hollywood: Celebrity ghosts

As they were famous in life why not carry out that trait when they're dead? Maybe celebrities over the years have died, been murdered or committed suicide like any normal person sometimes they leave behind unfinished business and haunt the places they once loved and the places they left this mortal coil. I'm going to take a look at supposed celebrities that now haunt Hollywood.

RIVER PHOENIX died Oct 31st 1993 aged 23.

River was destined to become one of Hollywood's biggest stars back in the 80s and early 90s, with hit films such as Stand by me and My Own Private Idaho it was no surprise, but on that fateful day back in 1993 he collapsed outside of a Hollywood nightclub called the "Viper Room" then owned by Johnny Depp after taking a cocktail of cocaine and heroin. There have been unconfirmed reports of seeing him outside the club but as of yet this hasn't been proved.

MARILYN MONROE died Aug 5th 1962 aged 36

Now nobody actually believed that Miss Monroe would leave her stage completely did you? Born Norma Jean Baker on the 1st of June 1926 she was destined to become a star right from the very beginning, her biggest film in my opinion being "Some Like it Hot". In 1962 she took an overdose of sleeping pills at her home. Today she is said to haunt several different places - one being the Roosevelt Hotel in Hollywood, she can be seen in a full length mirror in her favourite pool side suite, she also haunts her home where she passed away, some psychics even claim that she has personally told them her death wasn't suicide.

CLARK GABLE died Nov 16th 1960 aged 59

He was born William Clark Gable on the 1st of February 1901 in Cadiz, Ohio. When Clark was 16 he dropped out of school to work at a factory and then decided to become an actor when he saw the play "The Bird of Paradise", he went on to become one of Hollywood's greatest actors with hits such as "Gone with the Wind" among others. He married Carole Lombard in 1939 but she died in a plane crash just 3 years later. It was in 1960 after filming "The Misfits" he died from a massive heart attack. It is believed that he haunts The Oatman Hotel in Arizona along with his wife Lombard.

It seems that even in death, celebrities want to take centre stage and have all the attention.
