Anything is Possible
A baby born,
small and delicate.
A parent so surprised,
and amazed,
and in love with their newborn.
A child explores,
the backyard,
the house,
and all of the world they can see.
A teen rebels,
against their parents.
Claiming they are uncool
and way too nosy.
A beautiful twenty year old,
Spreads their wings
and fly from the nest.
They fall at times,
and soar at others.
A nervous thirty year old,
pulls on a white dress.
Elegant and glowing,
Walks down the isle
and into the arms
Of their Husband.
A terrified thirty-five year old,
sitting in a hospital,
now knows what their parents went through
when they were born.
A baby born,
small and delicate.
Parents so surprised,
and amazed
at their newborn.
A woman remembers,
her childhood.
And then realizes,
Anything is possible.
Especially going through
the same things
that her mother went through.

and you’re on my mind again.
Rainy afternoons
were always
The sun rises on a new day
A day full of endless possibilities
Rain, or shine
The day is what you make it.
Anything is possible.

There's a place inside each one of us
where all outcomes are born
a fertile patch much like the earth
that turns seeds into
