My Tormented Heart
My tormented heart,
broken and shattered
into a million pieces,
by you.
You and so many other people.
Each shard broken off by someone,
some cruel, rude person.
With every remark,
and every taunt,
another piece fell from it-
My tormented heart.
All of the heartaches.
All of the pain.
All of the sadness.
All from people like you.
My tormented heart
will never be healed,
but like the saying goes-
what doesn't kill you,
only makes you stronger.

the roses die.
a winding vine with brown decay
