In a world of MMO Games (Massive Multiplayer Online Games) Evony takes a path seldom taken by any games in this day and age. Where the MMO world is largely dominated by RPGs (Role Playing Games), Evony is a MMO that takes the path of the classic RTS game (Real Time Strategy game).

Instead of running around in a graphics dominated digital world building a single character by killing monsters, you are the lord of a land with your commands to your people, and maps to show you what is going on. You are not on the front lines, you don't see the troops, you just give the commands, and get the reports on your successes and failures. You build your cities, build your troops, build your alliances, and try to dominate a land of other people that share the same goal as you.

The challenge of this game is you manage your resources, troops, heros, and your time, in order to make your kingdom as strong as it can be. If you don't build enough resources, your cities will not be able to grow, but if you build too much of one resource, you will run out of the others. The trick is to find a balance that will work for your play style.

The best part about this game however, it is that is free to play, free to get, can be played on any computer with internet access, unlike most of the other MMOs out there that will charge you to buy the game, and then charge you monthly to play it. Evony will never charge you anything, though it will give you the option to buy coins, that can be used you buy in game items. This allows the hard core players who think that the game is worth paying something for, to help the game stay online with a donation of cash, and get a bonus in the game for their contribution.

So in conclusion, Evony takes on the world of high graphics, high cost MMO games, by creating a low graphics, free game that can be accessed from any computer with a web browser. They give you the control of a lord, sitting in his keep, pointing people to do his or her bidding. With the maps and reports at your disposal, you have command over your people and land. And your job is to keep your people happy, and your land and titles growing.

I know I am enjoying the game, so if you think you have what it takes to run your own kingdom, come find me in the game! Just go to
