Every young man will feel an attraction to an older mature woman before exiting adolescence. It may be a teacher or even a relative. These impulses are a part of the onset of hormones as young men pass through the tumultuous years of puberty. While this is a natural occurrence, these feelings pass as puberty gives way to young adulthood for most people.
Younger men are drawn to much older women because of three different reasons. It may be that the young man is searching for the acceptance in an older woman that he never received from his mother. As odd as it may sound, the attraction may just be the result of convenience and lack of other opportunities. The third reason stems from the human male's need to be viewed as conquering this female who is considered unattainable or off limits. It is never to be considered the natural way of things. Something is almost always awry when attraction gives way to action.
Some young men are reaching for unfulfilled maternal affection.
Young men are attracted to an older woman because she fills a role in their life that their mother could not or would not fill. They become caregivers and affection providers. Young people are often left without an adequate acceptance by their parents. When this happens to a young man, he will seek for someone in his life to fill that role. Often infatuation leads to more than should happen. Although most mature women are flattered by the attention of a younger man, she will normally recognize the unacceptable nature of the affection and gently remove herself from the situation.
Young or old, many romantic connections happen because it is convenient.
This may not sound like romantic fate, but there are times physical attraction happens because it is convenient. Both people need someone to fill a love or affection need in their life. When a possible partner requires little effort to find, sometimes the age difference is overlooked because they don't want to spend the time to find someone who is a more age-correct fit. Often for both parties in these cases, there is a sense of achievement. The young man has his ego stroked because he can attract an older more experienced woman. The woman feels rejuvenated by the fact that having a young man proves that she still has her physical beauty intact.
For a younger man, an older woman will seem like a more significant conquest.
Finally, younger men are attracted to the older woman because in some circles it is a sign of conquest or advanced maturity. Rarely does this type of relationship last nor is it to be considered desirable. The young man in this instance may be proving to his friends how powerful that he is. The idea would be that anyone can have a young woman, but only a real man can get an older more experienced and mature woman.
