Ways to detoxify your body naturally

To detoxify simply means to reduce the intake of harmful and toxic elements in our body improve the elimination process of such chemicals. And detoxification is the process by which we do it. There are various spa programs and alternative health practices like detoxifying massages and detoxifying drinks and tablets by which detoxification can be done. But in our busy lives when we know what's harmful and can be dangerous to our body, we still consciously or sub consciously fill our bodies with such toxins. To top that many of us really do not have the time, patience or can afford to keep up regular spa treatments or take external medicines. So what is an easy alternative? One that can be made a routine in our daily life, comes naturally and of course we do not mind as it costs a dime or nothing at all.

For natural detoxification, it's important to follow some lifestyle and dietary changes.

First step in this knows the sources from where these toxins are entering our body. The prime sources are diet, pollution and unhealthy habits that die hard. Best way to reduce the amount of toxins is to eliminate the sources but that's not practical and possible in all cases and here natural detoxification really helps.

To cope up with less toxic elements the defensive mechanisms in our body through these five systems are enough. This is done by blocking, repairing, eliminating and shedding. The main elements of detoxification in our body are water and fibres. Now imagine the cost effectiveness and ease of use to reduce toxins in the body. Water is the prime detoxifying agent in our body. It works mainly on the gastrointestinal, urinary and skin systems to clean our skin and kidneys. It is recommended to have at least seven to eight glasses of warm water (preferably) everyday to maintain a well hydrated body.

Water can help in other ways to detoxify. Bathing regularly helps the body to get rid of toxins that pile up on the outer layer of the skin and thus blocks the pores. Cleaning the body helps to open up pores and lets the body breathe out the unwanted elements.
