I have found an amazing skin scrub/toner that has worked wonders on my skin. It's great if you have acne, scars, or you want to brighten up your complexion and shrink your pores. I found this recipe on YouTube by a wonderful woman with the username: bubzbeauty. She has great hair, skin, and makeup tips that have helped me a lot. The recipe's ingredients sound weird at first, but they come out with great results. I found all the ingredients in my pantry and my fridge and its all natural!
Ingredients for scrub:
Apple Cider Vinegar- Its bursting with alpha hydroxy and amino acids. It breaks down the dead skin cells and fatty deposits on skin. The Malic acid exfoliates and can reduce the appearance of scars. It also unclogs pores and detoxifies the skin. It has vitamins A, E,C, B6, and P.
Sugar- It exfoliates, unclogs pores, and the natural glycerin moisturizes the skin.
Honey- Honey helps the skin with acne, it's anti-inflammatory and helps skin stay moisturized. It also helps stimulate cell renewal and has anti-aging benefits.
Green Tea- It detoxifies the skin and repairs skin cells.
Directions:
Pour one teaspoon of Apple Cider Vinegar into a bowl. Then add 2 teaspoons of green tea (the more sensitive your skin is, add more green tea). Next, add 5 teaspoons of sugar into the bowl. Finally add one teaspoon of honey to the mixture and stir then add 2 more teaspoons of sugar. Wasn't that easy? You can also add lemon juice or olive oil for acne treatment and moisturizing. Now deposit the scrub into a glass jar.
For the toner, all you need is to fill a glass jar with one part Cider Vinegar and two parts green tea. Easy!
Apply to scrub to clean skin with a cotton pad and smooth over skin. Rub gently with your fingertips and massage your skin with the scrub. Leave the scrub on for about 3-4 minutes. Then you gently wash off the scrub with warm water and dry your face. Apply the toner next with a cotton pad and let it absorb into your skin then add moisturizer. Bubzbeauty recommends doing this at night because it doesn't smell the best. The smell is worth it though. My face was so firm and the next morning my acne was less noticeable and less red. I even put it on my scars on my legs and they were less noticeable.
