"My God shall supply all your needs according to his riches in glory" is an easily misunderstood verse. This verse is not intended to depend on God to supply you with new cars and fancy clothes. Your spiritual needs are the ones referred to in this verse.

God will supply you knowledge of his love and wisdom in your life situations. God will supply your need for strength to overcome and endure difficulties that come your way. God will supply you with the abilities to do in his name the things you are called in life to do.

God's riches do not take the form of gold and silver. His riches are things that will never fade, tarnish or lose their value. The world places value on materialistic things and this causes confusion when you attempt to apply the bible to your day to day life. God's value system is not set up to assess the worth of your house and car, he evaluates your soul and the good works you have done in his name.

He will meet needs of believers that are sometimes on materialistic bases, but this is because it may be necessary to help with those things to get you to the place he needs you to be for his work and glory.

Anyone sitting around waiting for God to pay their mortgage or car payment needs to take a closer look at the scripture. You may need a job so that you can pay those things yourself, this could be a need that he will meet. You many need better health to be able to serve his purpose and this could be a need that he will meet.

God knows your true needs better than you do. He knows you better than you know yourself and you may be looking at a simple surface problem that is a pressing issue at the moment but God sees down the road and far beneath the surface problem to the root and knows what the true need is.

While a check may not come in the mail to solve all your financial worries, if you truly trust in God you know that he will meet every need and is working on the solution to the root problem all the time. He holds the answers to every question and will provide for the true needs of all those who love and believe in him.
