WHEN LIES BELIE LIES
When the lie he tells today
Contradicts his of yesterday ;
We wonder what will be tomorrow's lie.
This glibber fibber must persist
In untruths, yet still insist
That only he is speaking truth.
Then we the plainer, more uncouth,
Recognize that we cannot
Trust his words,
No matter what.
