The Ranger can inflict extreme amounts of damage while providing a fire power-up useful to most classes. Ranger should be close to one of the first classes you upgrade, they are very strong in groups and have the best ranged abilities out of all the classes.

Controls: X Button-Jump; also used to pressure a catapult
O Button- Pick up item; press again to drop it

Square Button- Attack using weapon or throw pickup item
Triangle Button- Switch weapons and style
L1- Lock on to trees, rocks, or enemies
L2- Zoom in
R1- Strafe
D-Pad Up- Ask for assistance
D-Pad Down- Release assistance
L1+Square- Upgrade Class and build ladders (Worker Only)
Select- Shows the map.

Helping the Team: The ranger provides a great back-up line to snipe out enemies from distances. When upgraded, the ranger provides torches throughout your base which can be used to increase the damage of warrior's swords and your bow and gun. The gun also provides spread damage for hitting many enemies at once when they are clumped on a bridge or an outpost.

Basic Attacks: Before it is upgraded, ranger is still a highly affective class. Their arrows shoot for incredible distances and can hit quite high damage. Being a ranger is a very good strategy if you are playing against the computer in team deathmatch. They enter the game and while people are coming close to, you can slowly back up and snipe them as they try to approach you. The only downsides of the basic ranger is that if you are facing a smart warrior, they will use their shield which can block all arrows. Usually, warriors will be the tanks and run into battle first, so they may cause problems. Also, rangers have 5 hearts so surviving a long time should not be that hard considering you are also ranged.

Upgraded Attacks: An upgraded ranger features many great advancements, not just to you, but your entire team. When upgraded, torches become available to use on weapons to increase their damage. This power-up is very useful for warriors and rangers. Also, the new weapon the ranger gets is a shotgun. Using it creates a spread of bullets to barrage the enemy. Using this is great for when being ganged on, but it is very effective when it is charged.

Tips and Tricks: Rangers cannot shoot their arrows or bullets through things, so if you are a ranger, make sure you have a clear view of the enemy. If you are playing against a ranger, flank them by running behind bridges, rocks, or trees. The arrows will just get stuck in those objects and not effect you. Use this to your advantage because if you are a mage, you can use your charge attacks on them while still hiding behind something. This provides great defense for you and your team. Also, jumping while shooting your arrows is a very good trick because other rangers won't be able to hit you, but your arrows will still hit your target. This trick is also good for if your opponent is a ranger because they wont hit you if you keep jumping.

The ranger is a great offensive player and provides key features to the success of your team. They have incredible range and a great selection of weapons for all types of different scenarios.
