Poetry: Please remember

by Z. Blake

Created on: August 22, 2009

Remember how it felt to dream.
Remember what it used to mean.
With your head raised up with pride,
And your hands stretched high above,
Reaching for the stars with love.

Remember what it was to believe.
Remember how it used to seem.
With beating heart too full to die,
And your hands stretched high above,
Inviting in your angels of love.

Remember why you learned to breath.
Remember the life before you could bleed.
With a reason to live and nothing to fear,
And your hands stretched high above,
Screaming to be heard, deserving of love.

Remember who you used to be,
When you were you and I was me.
With our hands stretched high above,
Grasping for the start of love.
