Kicking and screaming,
Exploding while dreaming.
Bursting for freedom,
But fearing release.
Living for redemption,
Slowly dying in pain,
Lost in a world of fire and rain.
Its conflict and anger.
Its roaring and shame.
I lie on my own
And I fall from the sane.
It's quiet in hell,
When the devils are sleeping.
It's a long way from peace,
But it's free from the wreathing.
The dreams master entrapment
As the nightmares shake the air.
They boil the blood that swirls,
And no one looks or cares.
I fight to find the silver lining,
But suffocate in the clouds,
So thick and full of woe.
I'm all alone below death mounds.
I lose to the violence.
As the blackness takes control.
It scorches and destroys
As the fire takes its toll.
I'm lost in frustration
And I give in to the game.
It blackens my spent soul,
And I fall from sane.

Only to be free.
It's like static on the radio,
this constant white noise keeps me awake,
there's no switch to turn it off,
I feel my past behind me, clawing at my spine
but when I turn to face my foe, I see a narrow line
I do not

Daylight slips in through half opened curtains,
revealing shadows that play across my face:
those mirrored
Suffering..
My wife got sick,
Four years ago,
It was her brain that got attacked,
and my soul pains for her.
She can't make
I stay for the kids, I say cause I'm broke
around my finger is the promise, no joke.
I took it serious as so many do, did
