Being a recent high school graduate I know how important post high school education really is. In todays world it is hard to find a job with only a high school degree unlike the older generations that were required to have less education. Yes it is possible to get a job and even a good paying job with only a highschool diploma. But finding or getting those jobs is extremly hard and very rare. The reasons for having post high school education are even more important than just for careers. Other reasons include farthering youir knowledge and your capablities, being prepared or able to know things needed for traveling in other countries, and for technology or understanding how things work in todays fast moving society.

Going to farther your education is very useful for technology. Knowing how to use technology is almost a must now as more and more things become computerized. It is important to understand what these things do and how they work. surprisingly there is classes available that help to teach people how to do these things. Knowing how to use new technology can help make your normal life go faster. Self checkouts in grocery stores (no more waiting in long lines), being able to write e-mails (faster communication), and cell phones (good for use in emergencies.)

Careers are probably the biggest reason of why you should farther your education. The more you know the easier it is to get a job or to get promoted. The more that you learn the more you understand things and can create or lead in business. In the long run having more education pays off in the career catergory. Jobs and careers are requiring that employees take more and more classes. So taking them now makes it easier then having to go back in find time to do the classes while having to work.

Going to college or taking classes after high school could help in the medical career. New medicenes may be discovered with more knowledge. Cures for diseases can even be found. If not cures it will at least help to farther the research that is looking for cures.

Traveling requires you to know more then what is taught in high schools. Before traveling out of the country it is good for you to learn about the cultural and the background of where you are going. This way you will know what to expect. Knowing and learning a second language or maybe even more languages helps you to communicate with even more people all over the world. Being able to communicate with other types of people helps you to have different types of relationships and to learn in other ways then you would here in your own country.
