Should doctors be motivated by pay or healing patients?

Doctors are inspired by pay rise! Let us us face it, every one including doctors, work to get paid. But first, there is need to establish some facts to aid us through.

Life begins with a call to journey, an inevitable journey pregnant with uncertainties!

These uncertainties make up man's greatest fears, leaving him to a long dark room unknown. Life revolves about solving problems. In fact, making life better for some one else, to be rewarded in any kind could be its sole definition.

The need then arises for him (man) to explore if he must survive. On the survival stake, coupled with with his natural talents, gifts, abilities, and opportunities, many take to different heels, and in this case, doctors.

After all the years of learning and rigor, you venture into the practical world for three major reasons: First, to make ends meet, second, to make life better for yourself and to others through which you explore your knowledge and expertise in solving or managing problems. Third, to challenge ignorance.

When you practise what you have learnt and positively, then you would have solved problems, which in turn yields income. Much as it is good to see your work and effort make meaning and possibly recover the patients, it is more inspiring to know and see that your effort breeds money. Of course, it is this proceeds that make you keep up with life's ever evolving challenges.

The doctor at the point of doing his job, and efficiently, all things being equal, the patient(s) should recover. That is his service to humanity, but does he go empty handed? Although there could be some extreme circumstance and cases where if he succeeds, he is inspired, but this does not in any way rule out the fact that he still needs his pay.

Till date, we know that there are no permanent solutions to human problems, in fact, solutions come their own ebbs and flaws, thereby aggravating the already soiled grounds. Bearing in mind that solutions are limited to time, it will be impossible to say that doctors care for you so you don't have to come back some other time, if not for the same reason, but something new.

They don't have to wish or pray for that, it is natural. There would always be the need to return to them for another 'time limited solution', like every other thing in life though. The doctor however, needn't inscribe it on the fore that he is inspired by pay rise, its naturally the truth.

If there were permanent solutions to human problems, and in this wise, doctors, how would they be patronized and vigorously sort after as to earn them the prestige and respect they accrue today and in times past, and even in times to come, not only for saving lives, but also because they enter into a class of wealth, affluence, and gold spoons?

Doctors many say are next to God. God does not receive money from us, but you will agree with me that he would not compromise the praise and adoration due him. We are mortals, masked with flesh and running on blood. We need money (pay) and not praise to survive, not even the pope.
