Templateplazza.com is a site that offers Joomla templates and Joomla extensions, in both premium and free forms. The premium templates and extensions are available through a club membership option, where the duration and benefits are based on the membership plan selected. The free templates and extensions appear to be downloadable without even registering, since they do not require even a free membership. However, the site sometimes gives a "forbidden access" statement when trying to download files, so perhaps it is simply better to register anyway.

The subscription packages come in three forms: silver membership, gold membership, and developer membership. Silver consists of a four month subscription to Templateplazza.com, which includes access to all current templates, in addition to any newly released ones (in the four month period of course). Silver also gives the option to use templates on two domains, and it offers users access to support forums. The gold membership gives one year of access, as well as full access to the support forums, and an allowance of four domains. Finally, the developer membership has a year of access, full access to the support forums and an unlimited amount of domains. Most of these plans seem fair, and surprisingly cheaper than many other Joomla template subscription sites.

This is not due to a lack of club templates however, because there are currently 64 to choose from. Each template has its own appeal, and can be ran as a demo or otherwise previewed. While there is no real way to quickly peruse the templates, this could be due to the fact that I had no membership on the site (in other words, there could be a search feature available for paying users). Oddly enough, there are no items in the club extensions page, which could be an error, or a real representation that people who sign up for membership are only paying for templates (which is still a good deal).

The free templates can be previewed by looking at them in the products category of the site. The templates can also run a live demo via Templateplazza.com's demo site. There currently seem to be about four free Joomla templates, however, if users enter the downloadable portion of the site, another category called "Back End" templates is available, and there are currently thirteen files. These templates don't seem to have any preview though, and they have no thumbnail either. It is hard to rate these free templates due to the limited selection, but they seem satisfactory.

There are about 15 free Joomla extensions, and each one lists its main features and other specifications. Templateplazza.com also has forums available for support, along with news posts concerning the latest templates and other updates. Overall, I would recommend Templateplazza.com. The site's lack of club extensions is disturbing, but could be a simple error. The club templates more than makeup for this however, and the free extensions add more compensation.
