The game of baseball in its rich history has undoubtedly contributed to the advancement of mankind. Its welcoming and connecting nature has proven to bring people from all walks of life together, whether it be internationally, or within the home. Through a simple "past time", this sport encompasses an algorithm that can be translated into daily life , and when effectively used, can simplify life itself. To call this way of life we call baseball a past time is a simple way to put it, as it is much more than a leisurely amusement.

A common goal of many Americans is simply put, by James Truslow Adams , "[every citizen feels that they deserve a] better, richer, and happier life." Furthermore, taken from the Declaration of Independence, " all men are created equal" and that they are entitled " certain inalienable Rights entailing "Life, Liberty and the pursuit of Happiness. In order to attain a better, richer , and ultimately happy life, one must have a systematic method to do so. The game of baseball not only exemplifies this, but would not be the same phenomenon that America, and the world knows and loves it as.

In order to break down the complex game of baseball, you must look at its rules, and examine the true nature of the sport. Although there are many guidelines set in place, there are very many instances where it is necessary to make a call call based on personal judgment. This is what distinguishes baseball from many other sports, as the game can be completely at the whims of an umpire, but may also be completely in control of a team. With the United States of America being a predominant and successful country, yet its future intriguingly uncertain, this aspect of unpredictability can also be found through many examples of everyday life, and causes to ultimately have faith and hope in what they are aspiring to do.

The success of America, and of baseball can sequentially be traced back to its roots. By changing the foundation of either, including its laws, rules, and overall structure, these two entities would not be . Rather than stating that baseball is America's national past time, it would be much more suitable to conclude that baseball IS America, and vice versa. This statement does not define the United States of America as a "bunch of ball players"; on the contrary, it describes the American dream as an ambition driven by morals, judgement and common sense. These same ideals are the basis of a reputably successful country that we all know as the U.S.A.
