My lover was found without me even looking,

he was there, in my mind as my friend.

I never thought of him as anything but,

he became my everything, my best friend,lover,and my crutch.

He excepted me with all my flaws,

I excepted him, ex-wife and all.

He made me believe in true love and happy endings,

I constantly asked myself, what message was God sending.

I finally realized how much he meant,

from God, my wishes, and pessimistic thoughts, I believe he was sent.

I never beleived in those "butterflies" people speak of,

but for some reason he was sent to me from someone special from up above.

He is my best friend, soul mate, and lover,

sometimes they are your friends who just happen to turn into your lover.
