All though the sun shines through the day
I can hear the winter's call
And within the muggy August heat
I can feel the early fall
The chill that creeps across the skin
That freezes right to the bone
The fine hair stands upon your neck
As gaze into eyes of stone
The reflection there is cold and pale
As the love light turns away
All that once remained is lost
Within a single yesterday
Upon every endeavor
Into the sunset they will crawl
Wishing for one last moment
Within the early fall

lending placid shadows to the depths

There's a place not to far from here,
Where the mountains reach the heavens high above,
And lush green
