An Ouija board is a device used to conduct seances. They are marketed as a toy or game, and can be purchased at any toy store. However, I have a testimony regarding Ouija boards that attests they are not a game, but very dangerous. They open a door into the demonic realm that can be detrimental to your well being.

When I was 19 years old a girlfriend and I purchased an Ouija board from a local toy store. When we got to her house, we took it out of the box and started using it right away. We contacted a spirit that called itself, James. We started off by asking it questions like, how many shoes were in her mother's closet. It responded with 48, then 24. We went into her mother's closet and counted 24 pairs of shoes. We were amazed, so we started asking it more specific questions about James. It told us a story that James was a slave, and was killed by being hanged for escaping from his owner. We thought this was the neatest thing ever, and we continued to use it for several days.

I was so intrigued by this, I started telling my parents, and my brother the stories about James, and the Ouija board. My brother who was already a born again Christian tried to warn me against using the Ouija board, telling me that I am contacting demons that will haunt me for the rest of my life. My parents told me that they had an Ouija board at one time and used it a few times, but nothing bad ever came of it. So I ignored my brother's warning and still continued to use it.

One late night, I had been playing a video game on my computer, and I was getting tired, so I decided to go to bed. As soon as I laid my head on my pillow, a red orb appeared in my room and it was hovering above me. It was moving in circular orbits, and each orbit became smaller and smaller. I could feel my body temperature dropping as I watched it, and I remember asking myself, Is this really happening, or is it a dream? I looked around my room and everything appeared there just as it normally was. Now I was getting scared, I watched this orb rotate above me, and now each orbit was so small, it was moving extremely fast. I screamed and jumped out of my bed and ran for my door. As soon as I touched the door knob, the sleeves of a jacket that was hanging on a hook on my door held it shut as I tried opening it. I just knew that whatever that was in my room was there to take my life, whether I was dreaming or not. I knew the only hope I had was to call on the name of Jesus, and I said the Lord's Prayer. At that moment, everything stopped and I found myself lying on my bed again.

I did not sleep at all that night, and I waited until 5:30am to call my brother, I knew he would be awake at that time to get ready for work. I told him everything that had happened, and he told me he would call his Pastor to ask him what he thought this was. Later that day, my brother told me that the red orb was a demonic manifestation, and had I not called on Jesus, and said the Lord's Prayer, I would not have been alive to have this conversation with him, because the devil comes to steal, kill and destroy.

I got rid of the Ouija board, and never touched another one since. This took place 21 years ago, and I still remember it like it took place just yesterday. It took several months before I could sleep with the lights out. I did not become a born again Christian until I was thirty years old, but I know that it was Jesus who saved my life that night.
