Generous Host
There was a time I loved you.
There was a time I cared.
I would have done anything for you,
But you went running- scared.
The nights we spent together,
On the phone all night.
Who could have known
The destiny of love's plight?
The times I would wait by the mailbox
To comprehend the next delusional thought.
Those words I would read,
Those moments I sought.
How could I have known.
That the one I loved, didn't love me
How could I have known.
The love I fought for,
Would not fight for me?
To hear from you now,
Bittersweet in thought.
To hear from you now,
Sorrow it has brought.
Loss and regret are intense-
More intense than most.
Knowing I loved him once-
Is the generous host.

Poetry: My lost love
Losing and finding me
I lost more than I thought
I wasn't gonna say a thing
Just sit there and let you wonder
while I made
The Neglected One
Of course while at my worst, but yet somehow while at my best and most prolific
I am cursed to have those
Sonnet to a Princess
Good Princess fair as fragrant flower,
You've captured this unworthy heart.
I grow more fond
Love lost blew it all,
Pride take a tumble before a fall,
Missed the pilot of Mr know it all,
Waved away with a broken jaw.
I see reflections in the water
I hear his voice call my name
No matter how far I travel
The horizon always looks the same
