Wrestler profiles: Jamie Noble

by Bruce Bostwick

Created on: August 20, 2009

Jamie Noble is a wrestler that is best known for his tenure in World Wrestling Entertainment. Prior to that, he did have a run with World Championship Wrestling during the dying days. Mostly, he is known for his time with the company and even had a brief run with Ring of Honor. His run would be split into two separate runs with the company.
He came into the company as a heel sparking a feud with The Hurricane. He would go on to win the Cruiserweight Championship early on his career and had Nidia as his manager. He would hold the championship until later losing it to Billy Kidman. After that, he would later get involved in a storyline after a Cruiserweight with Billy Gunn and Torrie Wilson. They would form a team and have a very brief face run to say the least. He would later see Taijiri spit some mist in Nidia's eyes. He later turned heel after really exploiting Nidia when he was using her in the blind storyline.

After the feud with Nidia, he would later be released. It had to do with the steroids following a staph infection. He wrestled in the independent wrestling circuit and in particular Ring of Honor. He did get resigned to the WWE but would get a very brief run with the Ring of Honor World Heavyweight Championship defeating CM Punk but would later lose the gold to Bryan Danielson on his out of the company.

He formed a team with Kid Kash called The Pit Bulls, not to be confused with the ECW version of them. This team was a regular tag team to challenge for the Smackdown tag team titles but would never get the gold. They would stay a team until Kid Kash got released. Noble would be used in Cruiserweight Championship matches only but would not be successful in obtaining the gold.

He had a comedy storyline feud with Hornswoggle trying to catch him but would be unsuccessful similar to that of the Road Runner and Wile E. Coyote cartoons. Mostly after that, he would be used as a jobber. He was a heel but would be a face after a double turn with Chuck Palumbo becoming a heel.

Without the Cruiserweight Championship, he really isn't going after any titles. Then again, the Cruiserweight Title was retired since it wasn't going to be used at all or so it seemed. Right now, he is not being used in a major storyline and probably should be stuck on the ECW brand just to give him something to do. Mostly, he would be used as the guy to help put over talent. That seems to be his role but at least he had some mild success if you will. He'll probably never be a World Champion but stranger things have happened.
