Joe Biden holds an office that wields virtually no power. He is by all rights, the biggest loser in the country. Any Vice President would be.

It is unclear why Barack Hussein Obama, the best teleprompter reader in this or any Universe, picked Joe Biden in the first place. The excuse given was that the ticket needed balance. Obama has no experience whatsoever doing anything. Joe Biden was as old as dirt and had a great many opinions on a great many issues. So a blank slate was paired with a full plate.

However, those who had followed Biden's illustrious career knew that he had trouble keeping his mouth shut. For a politician the truth is almost always a bad idea and when it comes to the problems and difficulties Obama may face, Biden has told the truth way too often. Politics is about the gentle art of fooling idiots. It's not difficult to fool idiots since they want to be fooled. Everyone wants to think that we can have everything we want and pay for none of it. Only an idiot would believe that this could be so but every American thinks this way anyway. Politicians can't tell people what they really think of them. You can't tell the people who vote for you that they are stupid to do so. As long as Joe Biden is within earshot of a microphone, there is a chance he might spill the beans.

Joe Biden is a creature of the Senate. He has been Senator for many years. This is means that Joe Biden has completely lost touch with reality. One of the vital programs he wanted funded is the government run railroad Amtrak. Almost no one in the United States rides this subsidized money loser. If, as a politician, you are passionate about something that no ordinary person cares about, you are out of touch.

And finally, when Joe Biden is not being a little too frank he is sticking his foot firmly in his mouth. Such as when he told a man in a wheel chair to "stand up." Biden appears to be earnestly and enthusiastically tone deaf on occasion. For the Democratic Party the best they can hope for concerning Vice President Joe Biden is that a series of foreign leaders will die in a timely fashion so that Biden can spend his days looking somber at state funderals and keeping his big mouth shut.
