The last President with any moral courage was shot and killed in Dealey Plaza in 1963. Since then we've had a long line of self serving, self promoting, power hungry political puppets engineering wars, burglaries, and scandals. Leaders who lie and mislead. We've had 45 years of failure, both Democrat and Republican. We've got two problems, let's talk about them separately.

Men and women with personal courage are hard to come by. Greedy and self seeking people are everywhere. Our capitalistic system mass produces greedy people. Why would we expect anything else from our leaders? In essence, we created them. They are a mirror image of our values. The values of a judgmental society that seeks entertainment as well. We judge people based on completely faulty logic. We judge our leaders on their speaking ability, on their appearance, on their ability to entertain us. We elect governors who are movie stars and wrestlers. A President who was a movie star. Professional actors. Think about that for a minute. That is their trade. To act and entertain. If we are happy with their superficial performance we actually give them jobs leading a state or a nation. Like nominating the court jester for King. It is absolute insanity. Would a business hire an actor to run an engineering firm? To actually build a project with no experience and no education? To manage trillion dollar budgets? Of course not, yet this nation of idiots fawns over a President because he can spout the words hope and change from a teleprompter. Does he have an accounting degree? No. Does he have bona fide leadership credentials? No. Our leader before that barely made it out of Yale. He partied his way through school by his own admission and got a job managing his family's fortune. Our leader before that could smile and play a saxophone. He was a good speaker. For the life of me, I cannot believe he is still married.

So that's all it takes. Go to a nice school, graduate with any degree-barely, learn to speak somewhat intelligently, get nothing worse than a DUI and hide any other performance flaws. You qualify. How could a system like that fail?

We fail. We fail everytime we fall prey to this nonsense. We have a two party system and both sides spit out these wretched choices every couple of years. Completely unqualified and inept entertainers. Yet, good people are out there. How do you find them? You don't. Because people with real personal courage scare the hell out of all of the self interests that
