Poetry: Vampires

Blood dripping from my canine.
The sweet liquid from your jugular,
Oh it tastes so good.

Your blood is heaven,
The only thing that can dilute,
The one curse.
The Thirst.

Growls and hisses.
Death and bloody kisses.
We are creatures of the night.
Things that give you a fright.

Monsters of the nightmare
In light we die,
At night beware.

Twilight,
Is when we come out to play,
When we take flight.

They say we're bad,
What would they know.
We kill.
It's our nature.
We don't know ant different.

Life.
Death.
Undead.

Instinct takes over,
When the sun falls.
We rise with the silver orb.
The moon glitters on our skin.
We do our dance of eternal life.

Blood,
Death.
The graveyards,
Our homes.
We are the undead.
We are vampires.
