Celebrity death: How will Anna Nicole Smith be remembered?

by Louis Albornoz

Anna Nicole Smith has died and the world is missing yet another bimbo. The plus-sized blonde model, who was often the subject of controversy, died in her hotel room at the Seminole Hard Rock Hotel and Casino in Florida.

The cause of death has not yet been determined but there is speculation that drugs played a role in her untimely demise. I theorize that the weight loss supplements she used, as well as promoted, might have played a part as well. Trim-Spa better hope that's not the case or they'll be facing financial ruin.

Anna Nicole Smith was born Vickie Lynn Hogan in Texas, on Nov. 28, 1967. She was a Playboy model and had her own reality T.V. show but she is probably best known for her marriage to a super-rich oil tycoon who was in his eighties. She might have married him for love but most think that she married him for the money. Either way, when her elderly husband died, she inherited a fortune and the stigma of marriage under false pretense will remain her legacy.

In all fairness to Anna Nicole, she had an excellent sense of humor about herself and didn't seem to take criticism very seriously. Throughout most of her life, she was constantly besieged by the media and that would be difficult for anyone to deal with. Many people speculate that she was an alcoholic. If the media did drive her to drink though, who can blame her?

Her unfortunate death is another tale of Hollywood gone bad. Marilyn Monroe might have created the tragic mold for Anna Nicole Smith but hopefully, others will learn from the mistakes of these two women. My condolences go out to Anna Nicole's family.
