How to cope with hair loss in men

Some men have it, some men don't, hair loss. Coping with hair loss is a dramatic experience for some men. When they stand at the mirror for the first time and see their scalp shine through. It is heartbreaking and it is enviable for a large population of males on this planet. Some men don't mind and realizes it is apart of the aging process or genetics, but for others the loss of their hair, either gradually or quickly, is enough to push them over the edge. Fear not, there are ways to cope with hair loss and with these coping methods you can have that self-esteem back and can look in the mirror with confidence.

First, avoid the comb over. Guys, you think you are covering up the bald pages but in the eyes of most of the world, you will look ridiculous. A comb over is when you take the longer hair on the side of your head or on the top and comb it over to cover the bald spot. The more hair loss you have, the more ridiculous you will look if you try this method. There are better ways to cover your hair loss or grow back that hair you had when you were a younger man.

There are many chemical hair remedies out there but be careful. They are expensive and if misused, you can actually lose more hair than you gain. Rogaine is a popular brand but also one of the most costly. There are store brand substitutes at Wal-Mart and other big lot stores that are cheaper. They have the same formula and sometimes you can get them with more strength. Read the directions and follow them closely. These types of treatment are only good for certain men and if you feel or see any side effects, stop using the treatment immediately and contact your doctor.

The cheapest, most traditional method of dealing with hair loss in men is to wear a hat. Not only are hats in style most of the time, you can hide those bald spots and still look good at the same time. Though still taboo in some parts of the country, wearing a hat inside is common practice these days even in restaurants. If you do choose the hat as a coping method, make sure you have plenty of them around to change up now and again. A dirty hat is just as unappealing as a bald spot to other people, so keep it clean.

Remember that baldness or hair thinning is natural. If you have tried these methods or others and it doesn't work, you might just have to deal with it. Shave all of your head or seek counseling if it is bothering your so much. Bald is beautiful to a lot of women, so take a change and go for it.
