Why do women cry?

People are emotional beings. From birth, babies cry. Children cry when they fall down, when they are in pain and when they are scared too. It is said that men should not cry. While it is often said that women are made of water. Women cry easily. Why do women cry?

I am a woman. Women around me consists of my mother, my sister, my aunts, my grandmothers, my mother-in-law, and not forgetting my daughter, my nieces and gal friends as well. From a young girl to a lady and to a mature woman, I have been through if not most of life experiences, but at least some of it as a woman. As a child, I cry when I am in pain and when I am scared. There are not so much of hurt in the heart as a child. I received love and care from my parents. Pain was when I fall down, scared was when I failed to finish and accomplished my homework. Sometimes anger and disappointments made me cry as well. Anger and disappointments from thinking of the unfair treatments by adults - such as not buying me toys and things that I like when other siblings could have it.

As I grow up, I saw my parents quarrel, watch TV programs and read the news, I can see that there are many sorts of problems in this world - family relationships problems, extramarital affairs, and so on. I do not understand why my mother cried when my father had 'other women'. I cannot know how she felt. I only can see that she was sad and she was angry and disappointed as well to know that my father had 'done this' to her. My mother cried when my father 'betrayed' her.

As I enter into relationships later in my life and finally become a mother myself, I understand how it feels to be a woman. It is only after giving birth to my children that I really feel that I have become a real woman. I understand the meaning of responsiblity to the family and the importance of commitment, love and everything else to the family. The family is important to me. Life is hard. Being a woman, I have to take care of the children, the husband and the house and my parents. Juggling between family, work/earning money, and the house is no easy task either. There are times where we take pains and endurance to accomplish our task in time and to complete our schedule promptly. There are times where I offer my best to the family and sacrificed by own leisure time and such. And yet, nobody appreciates what you do. It is when women had done so much for the family, the boyfriend or husband, and yet these people betray them, that women are so sad, so angry, disappointed
