Poetry: My dreams

by Richard Ellis

Created on: August 19, 2009

My Dreams.

I saw her face in my dreams last night,
Smiling lips and blue eyes so bright,
With countenance that could rival sunlight,
Her sudden appearance was for me a delight.

Dressed in garments of purest white,
Her auburn hair in falls just right,
Cascading down, a beautiful sight;
The image of her set my heart alight.

Just the thought of her can still excite,
Though only a spirit and not finite,
To this world in which I am bound tight;
The love of her does my soul ignite.

I saw her face in my dreams last night,
She let me know that she is alright,
And some day I'm sure we will reunite,
In God's heaven, by His power and might.
